Camping is the answer.

Safety First!

It’s time to start sharing information! There is so much to learn and so much to share about RVing, Little Guy Campers, places to go, things to do, and maybe some tips and links that will help you along the way.

Keep in mind that we are RV dealers; we are not experts in any particular field, but trying to absorb all the information out there is like drinking from a fire hose so we will take it slowly. Always feel free to email us with questions, topics to research and write about – anything really. There are no dumb questions!

We know you are all intelligent people, but many of us are beginners so we will break this down. Some posts may be too simplified for you, but it also allows the rest of us to learn.

Today we arrived in Elizabethtown, Kentucky for the Recreational Vehicle Safety & Education Foundation (RVSEF) Technical Education and Safety Conference. They kicked off the conference with opening discussions by Walter Cannon, Executive Director of RVSEF since 2003, and a 30 year RV industry veteran.

He gave us a general overview of the next 4 days, what to expect, who will be teaching us, and what we can expect to take away from the conference. I will say this, in all of his years doing this he told us that he has seen very few dealers, if any, ever attend this conference.

He also gave us a take away entitled Safety Info for any Campsite (Campground or Boon-Docking). You can find it below and you can find it on their website – You will find it under the education tab in the checklists and emergency numbers section.

Anyway, it is awesome and very necessary. What if you have a medical emergency? You need to be able to give your location. Bad weather alerts? Those are all announced by county; this sheet has a space for that. This is all information you can get online or you can get from the campground office if you are staying in a campground. If you are boon docking it will take a little more research on your part. This is so simple and so necessary. Find a place in your camper to put this up when you arrive in a new location!
